Paging NumberDummy.

Hello all, I've found a tailgate trim panel (Part #: E5TZ99425A34A) on eBay & it says it doesn't fit my 86' standard cab XLT Lariat. States that it came off a f-250 & I was wondering if it will fit my F-150? Thank you in advance for the help.

150's and 250's (and 350's) share the same bed.. Interesting if it did not interchange...

I've found that some of the people selling parts for our trucks aren't as knowledgeable as to what parts will fit our year's of trucks but you really cant condemn them for trying to make an income

(sigh) Most ebay sellers haven't a single clue what parts fit, even if they are new w/part numbers marked on them.

E5TZ-99425A34-A .. Tailgate Finish Panel / Obsolete

1985/86 all F150/350 Stylesides.

No such thing as a Standard Cab after 1969 for F100/350's. After 1969, only 500 and larger series trucks could be Standard Cabs.

Standard Cab is FoMoCo's designation for a bare bones 'stripper' truck that had only came with basic standard equipment.

F100/350 Standard Cab designation replaced by the Custom name in 1970.

If your 'top of the line' XLT Lariat is not a Super Cab, it's a Regular Cab.

This was my mistake, stating Standard for Regular cab. Wasn't exactly sure of the correct description. Thank you so much for your help NumberDummy! I feel that without you here our journies would be much, much more difficult.

I agree that this has been a little frustrating. I just bought some parts on Ebay for my 84 3-on-the-tree steering column that were listed for a Granada and a Fairlane or Torino, etc...I forget, but they weren't listed for trucks at all. Good news is, they fit perfectly.
