I've been trying to figure out how to turn off this feature. There is a entry in the settings for informational display, but it seems it only is turn off for the current engine cycle. After you restart the truck, it's back on ! Has anybody been successful in permanently turning this feature OFF ?
Same way you disable the auto start stop, a trailer light test to fool the truck into thinking that there is a trailer attached.
Can you expand on this a bit? This seems like a really simply way to bypass. I think there is a jump wire you can use on trailer plugs to make it think there is something hooked up but I'm not sure what pins.
I've not towed with my rig yet. Does an attached trailer turn off the sensor alarms? In my 2004 F150 it did not. I had to manually turn it off each time.

on my '17 it does, when you hook up the 7 pin auto start stop is disabled along with the backup sensors. I wish it could recognize the hitch because mine will yell when the hitch is in and you back up.

That's good to know. I can handle turning if off once easy enough. Especially in combination with the camera feature I didn't even notice until a couple days ago; the zoom to hitch. I touched the + sign in the upper left corner and was pleasantly surprised.
Now they just need to add a feature I saw in a rental Ram I was in...there is a dedicated feature to turn on the rear camera at any time. It stays on for about 10 seconds, but long enough for a quick check to see that everything is good.

I always forget about the zoom option until its hooked up lol. The rear camera button would be a great idea for any kind of driving.

Can't believe I'm saying this but a light or other indicator showing the tailgate being ajar would be nice as well. I drove to work one day a week or so ago with my tailgate down accidentally. Down the freeway, normal roads etc. At a light a guy next to me was waving his arms to get my attention. I rolled down the passenger side window and he says "dude, your tailgate is down and there's all sorts of boxes trying to come out"..... I had our recycling loaded in the back. Don't think I lost anything.
