Wait. Does the 2019 F450 get hotter than "normal" when towing? If so I would definitely look into the Mishimoto radiator for your truck. I have one in my rig as I mentioned before. Came with it, but it never gets hot, no matter what I tow, haul, hills, hot ambient temps, etc. The needle stays dead center and I have the SCT Programmer hooked to my OBD II port to monitor turbo boost and engine temp, so I am getting a digital readout of the temp. Cheaper than blown head gaskets.
Rarely does. I'm in Arizona, and when it's 115F outside, pulling and going up to 8k ft elevation, it'll get past normal... Then the fan starts sounding like a Cessna taking off it and it comes back down. We have a couple of grades around Phoenix that the roads go to 3 lanes and there's almost always someone overheating on the side of the road. When I was moving back to phx from MN I had an f250 with a v10, pulling one of those grades I saw my trans temp shoot up past 210, got to about 230 by the time I got to pull over... luckily no damage, but yeah, temperatures and elevation changes out here can be brutal.
And I'm not one to hang back with the semis, what if they move the campground by the time I get there? =P
I am currently on a trip in my 15 and my water temp stays normal but my oil temp stays above 220 and as high as 240. I just had everything serviced new oil antifreeze and trans service. trans stayed at 190. It was about 110 to 112 outside . When I left Topock AZ it was 91 at 3:00 AM. this morning. I am getting lousy fuel millage as well but it was windy and crusing behind semi's at 80.
