215 head or ?

I'm trying to track down a 215 head, hopefully in central or southern ca. I know
they are getting hard to find. I may end up having to get a complete 215 engine or even jumping up to a 223. According to Number Dummy, the 223 and most other I6's use a different head. It will be going to the machine shop just as long as its rebuildable. Thanks for your help

I know where a complete 1952 215ci is in Bakersfield, but it has been sitting out for a while, and I have no clue of its inside conditions. How far it may have been bored during the last 65 years, condition of head, etc.

I believe the gentleman wanted something like $150 for the whole thing, but can't remember exactly.

The balance pulley looks very worn and I'm not sure if it's even good anymore, but it is a very unusual 2-groove balance pulley--rather rare for the 215/223 engines.

You can see remnants off aqua/green paint on the block, and the integrated timing cover/engine mount made of cast iron: these indicate a 1952 year 215.

Although he is always interested in selling some of his items, he is a friend and I am very reluctant to give his phone number out, even through PM.
With that being said, by coincidence, I was planning to take my truck off the road within the next week to start a minor overhaul.
I might be able/willing to help move/deliver the engine if you can't, but I need to get in contact with the guy first.
