I have been a long time reader of the site and always find a solution to my problems. I hope to contribute to the knowledge this site offers.

This time tough I am stuck. I picked up a 2003 Expedition 4x4 with the 5.4 2v from a buddy. I knew it had problems but had no idea what it was. Going down the highway it was really lacking power, every warning light was on. Just a real dog to get down the highway.

The info system would say everything from, check charging system to check advancetrak. Air bag light would not stop flashing, just everything wrong that could be.

We got it home and started messing with it. No power from the engine and turns out its only running from the left bank. We started chasing wires and went through everything.

Eventually we looked under the drivers seat and the whole module is missing. just the connectors are there, same with passenger seat.

Could the module's missing have caused the suv to go into a limp mode as to save the engine because of no communication. Or is the engine issue a separate beast altogether.

I originally had plans to just drop in my rebuilt 5.4 as the body is great on this girl. But I feel as the engine is good no ticks, knocks or anything just no power.
