AOD valve body differances

I have tried to put a shift kit in my AOD and it was a failure. I have had it in 4 times and still is'nt right. I need to cut my losses. I've found a new Ford valve body for a 91 F150 or Bronco. I don'nt know what year AOD I have but think it is an earlier one. Are there enough differences in valve bodies to keep this new one from working in my AOD?
Need my truck back right so any help is apprecieated

AOD valve body differances

I can't say for sure what differences are in the valve body, but I do know that either in '89 or '90 Ford for whatever reason removed the 3-4 accumulator assembly from the AOD, however the bore is still machined into the case, but the fluid passages are not drilled. The purpose of the accumulator is to cushion the shift from 3 to 4 so I would guess that the valve bodies for this production would have different fluid routings, than earlier varities. Obtain a good service manual to better help identify what year trans you have. Hope this helps.
