Xlt differences.

So I had a 2016 xlt and the back seat had a cold down center console. I traded in got a 2017 premium package xlt and no fold down center console. My 6yo tells me all the time he likes the old truck better it had a cup holder for him.

Whoa.

All the leather trimmed trucks I've seen have the center arm rest. It really surprises me that Ford would use a completely different design for cloth trimmed seats. Is that really the case across the board?

I have no cupholder in my XLT and I'm glad. Having a cupholder on a cloth armrest doesn't appeal too much to me, I would imagine it would get pretty nasty with kids. Leather, on the other hand, would be easy to just wipe off. This is just a theory, based on no real data or research...

My truck came with cloth but I also ordered the center console which has cup holders in the rear which I think is actually better.

It's an option for 17's. like that they put one on the floor with the bench seat in the front. The one in the seat was generally useless for me with car seats and seat covers

One reason I was leaning towards the XLT at times and these seats without the cup holder is I have three kids across the back and I don't think my daughter would appreciate that cup holder "not closing" all the way and being in her back all of the time. I just wish they had the dark cloth like the F150 (maybe its an option but haven't seen any in stock). Co-worker has an XLT F150 with the dark cloth and that would be perfect.
