Hey my name is Noah. I have a 1978 ford f100 L6 300 stepside 3 speed. I have recently had a problem with the equilizer shaft. I drove my truck around where i live and then i went to eat somewhere. When i got out i pushed in my parking
break and when i got back in my truck i tried going with the parking breaks still in. When i tried to go i pushed the gas pretty hard and then i just heard a comotion in the truck and the clutch pedal wasent working. Then i looked and the equilizer shaft had somehow slid off of the bushing. I replaced the bushing and put the shaft back on and then i drove it again. I was stopped at a hill and then i tried to push a the gas a good bit at the start and then the shaft sliped off again. i know that i am not a good manuel driver but i dont think this wouldve happend in any other car. If someone knows why this keeps happening please tell me. Thanks!!
