Do you have a '17? And yes I agree, it is ridicules. I actually like TMPS, but it doesn't have to be this hard.
Yeah mine is a '17.
I know I can change it with forscan but I've got other priorities at the moment so I'm putting off the purchase of the ODBII reader. This truck is my daily driver and 90% of the time it's empty. The ride at 50psi is much better than 80.
I have an sct tuner on my truck and whenever I load a new tune it asks me what psi I want to set my tiresat. I can't remember exactly, but it goes very low. It was an option when I bought it from 5 star. It also took care of the HORRIBLE tcs also. And I get waaaay better throttle response. Far and away the absolute best thing I have done to my 6.2. I drove I stock the other day and temporarily couldn't stand my 6.2 again lol
At what psi does the light come on? I dropped mine to either 50 front and 60 rear or it was 55 front and 65 rear and never had a light.
It depends on your truck model and configuration; there's no universal setting. Our 350's factory setting for the rear tires is 80 psi, and the TPMS indicator lit up after I dropped the rear tires down to 63.
What are your truck's factory pressure recommendations?
