Wow that's not good. If it were me and I would go down to the dealer and demand that the problem is corrected. You know as soon as the truck is out of warranty the roof is going to start leaking. At least that would be my luck.
That is most certainly not right. My roof is nice and flush. You might have a tough time getting the dealer to warranty that, though. If you've owned your truck awhile they could blame that damage on you. In fairness, that is an expensive repair and if I was a dealer, I'd be suspicious.

I took delivery less than 72 hours ago. I've contacted the dealer and sent pictures.

The vehicle delivery company employee may have stepped on your truck while loading of offloading it from the truck. That's a big deal brother! Get it looked at.

Spoke to the salesman. He assured me they'd take care of it. I've emailed him as well as the sales manager, along with a picture.

I'll keep you all posted.
Well it's been a work in progress. Working with the dealer I bought the truck from (GA) and my local dealer (FL) however it seems to have come to a positive outcome.
Ford as agreed to repair the roof under warrantee. Tomorrow I will take the truck to my local dealer for the repair.
I'm intrestead in how they'll fix this, so I've asked for contacts at their repair center and will be in touch with them.
There's no sign of any issues at this point. However I hope this repair will prevent any from happening in the future.
Good news is even if Ford did not approve I was assured by the dealer in GA whom I bought the truck from that they'd pay to have it repaired. It's all talk tho until I see action. Ultimately glad Ford is doing the right thing.
Glad to read your issue is being dealt with, hopefully it will serve you 100% through the years.
When we picked up our new truck my wife and I took it for a test drive, well that's what we told the sales rep anyway. We drove it a short distance away and spent about an hour going over the truck in detail. I didn't want to do that at the dealer and feel pushed for time by them.
Many thanks to the various contributors here on FTE as we had made a list of the issues others were having with their new rigs.
Years ago while I was still finishing school my wife worked in and then managed setting up a new quality control department for Hewlett Packard's Advanced Products Division (hand held calculators of the 1970's). She is still really, really good at spotting fine imperfections in any item. Things I never catch. I guess that job ingrained that skill in her persona.
This can work against me at times when she inspects projects I do around the house.
