In 1978, I bought a 63 1 ton, mounted a 10 ton Braden winch on the back fitted with 2,300' of 5/16" cable and used the rig for 10 years to build communications towers and hoist men & materials. Hoist duty was retired in 88, an "A" frame was added and the truck was delegated "off road yard duty" moving tower construction materials until 2011. Needless to say, it was considered a "beater" and much abused in this capacity by yard personnel. Since then, the old Ford has been sitting exposed to the elements and neglected, sad to say. Well, I want to bring some life back into that old Ford. It needs a ton of work on the engine and body and I have no idea where to begin. That's the reason I'm here.

Joe

PS: I've owned several other Ford work trucks as well, all were great and served us well.
