Looking for some clarification here. I placed an order for a F350 back on 8/5 (saturday) and the dealer said the order would actually be sent in on 8/7 (monday). Ive been asking the dealer for updates since then and one of his replies was that the 'DORA' was processed on 8/15 and that the order was given a priority of 01. From reading here, I thought the best priority you could get was 10? Was his 01 a mis-type? Also, what is the DORA? I haven't been given a VIN number yet so I am unable to do any tracking of my own so I am trying to understand what the dealer is sending me.
I'm new to the game so I don't know if there is a 01 priority code or not. I also ordered a F350 back on 08/05 - I did get a build week of 09/04 and hope to get a VIN# soon. Mine started out as a 19 and was changed to a 10 somewhere along the process. Maybe you will get some updates this week for sure.
01 is the best. A dealer can't enter an 01. The only ones who can assign an 01 from the get go is a regional manager or someone of that ilk putting out a fire. However, once your regular order get's picked up to be built, it changes from whatever it is (10-20) to an 01. Mine was entered as a 10 and changed to an 01 a week later when it got scheduled. Retail orders are anything between 10 and 20.
On June 21, 2021 I ordered my vehicle. The dealership made a mistake on the interior color. Had to contact them so they could make a change with Ford to reflect what I actually ordered. Due to this mistake I got bumped to 01 priority code today and my schedule for production date has moved up 2x in the past 8 hours. It moved from September 18 to September 6... and then a few hours later got another message that it had been moved up to August 16. So priority code 01 most definitely works! Sorta happy they messed up now 😂😂
