Power steering O rings

Anyone have a part number or suggestions on where to get the O rings for the power steering high pressure lines on the rack? I believe the rack is a 1988 Thunderbird.

Dealer would be my first stop. NAPA should have them.

One of those cheap o-ring kits at Harbor Freight should have what you need. I use them, they work fine.

E1BZ-3591-A .. Teflon O-Ring-Use with SPR-AE Ford gear / Replaced? Obsolete?

1981/83 Fairmont/Zephyr; 1981/86 Capri; 1981/89 Mustang/Cougar/Thunderbird; 1982/87 Continental Sedan; 1983/86 LTD/Marquis (Fox body midsized); 1984/89 Mark VII.

This part number does not come up on Ford's online parts catalog website and the online parts catalog doesn't show the O-rings. The number probably has been replaced, or it might be obsolete.

Whiz down to the auto parts store, buy the O-rings for one a these applications. Some of the 1981 cars came with a TRW gear that uses different O-rings.

Thanks all appreciate your input. I guess the only issue with the HF O rings is they need to be oil resistant? I'll check what material they are made of.

If the o-rings you have are white, they're teflon and square cut. If they're black they're neoprene. The HF ones I've been using have worked fine for hydraulics.

Thanks Beav, they are the black ones. I'll call by HF and check out their stock.
