Does anyone know the significance of the "Accu Track service required" message? Is it an urgent service visit? Couldn't find anything in the Owner's Manual.
Was driving in the mountains yesterday and all was fine to my destination. When I started on my way back, this message appeared along with a wrench symbol. I stopped my truck (F250 with 6.7 diesel) and tried to look it up in the manual without success. Contined on home with the wrench lite up.
This morning I started up the truck, and the message and wrench are gone (although I didn't drive anywhere- just ran the truck for a few minutes).
I'm 2000 miles from home with 2 more weeks of driving ahead. Can this wait until I get back to my dealer?
I Have a '05 Toyota Sequoia with stability control. I would get an intermittent "Brake" light from time to time, for years and then the "VSC Off" light would sometimes come on as well. Dealer checked it out and could find nothing wrong (no codes and brake functioned normally). Finally, after about 10 years, wife texts me one day with a picture of every warning light on the dash lit-up....turns out the Stability Control computer had gone south....but it took about 8 years from the first time the "Brake" light came on for it to finally die all together.
I think it is generally indicative of a fuzzy sensor reading or a sensor going bad. Even with brand new parts, there is bound to be a few with flaws that get through any QC process involving thousands and thousands of units.
