Not yet as it was just a test fit today. I am going to buy another set of landing pads (I currently have yakima landing pad 6 which screw into the mounts perfectly on one side) and am buying landing pad 7 which are blind holds for the other half of the landing pad) since the holes on top of the truck are not spaced at the same distance as the yakima pads) once these arrive I will mount them with silicone and trim the mounting to fit around the pads. I'm pretty excited to see that you can mount these on the roof!

The sealant in the trough looks like it might be Dicor.

it been a while for this thread...any lessons learned on using these bolts for roof racks.

I have yakima tracks on my truck bed cap and recently transported some 16ft 2X8 ussing the yakima tracks on the truck bed. the 16ft 2X8's stuck out 4 ft in the front and back of the truck cap area....it worked fine since the 2X8's are rigid, but as an after thought ....it would be useful to add some yakima tracks to the top of the cabin so that I can use some of my yakima cross braces over both the cab and truck bed. I have 4 cross braces

im going down this rabbit hole of using the bolts to install a set of yakima tracks .

it looks like there are various full roof rack kits out there that use these bolts mainly the cage style racks.

my plan is to secure the yakima tracks with 6 of the bolts per side ....using spacers for the 6 bolts so that the yakima tracks clear the bolt heads that are not removed.

it would be nice if I could reinstall the molding under the yakima tracks

another thread on this subject with some links to videos of various cage style roof racks that use these bolts.
