I think a lot of the market for them will be business owners who can expense them. If you saved a third of the cost through tax writeoffs then it's not quite so bad. There are a LOT of people with a LOT of income these days.
It's pretty unreal what the cost of housing in my county is. That cost of the truck is not even the 10% down you need for the median home.

Been up since 4am with this headache. Also avoiding going outside to drain the transfer case and dump in the XL12, and drain the zf6 and refill with Mobil 1 full syn atf. Truck being pissy this week. Decided to blow the ds ft brake hose on the way home from work. Ordered the Russell ss braided set. Guess what I get to do Monday...

Mornin' every one. I am having some Texas Pecan Coffee as we speak and it is pretty durn good!
I got a lot done on Ike yesterday. All new wheel hubs, rotors, and pads. I started a thread on it. I will also be getting to the GPs and fuel leak fix on Monday. It's got a very slow fuel leak, so I'll have to hunt that down. Then finally I'll be addressing the oil cooler. It's got that very small annoying leak above the filter where it makes you think its the filter, but it is actually the housing above it. I have addressed that same issues on three different trucks now. It's nice to have 7.3 experience LOL!
Hope everyone has a restful weekend and enjoys there beverage of choice!

Not a big deal, just time consuming. Sometimes I've popped them right on and other times I played hub roulette for 20 minutes until pops in.
The hardest part is that popping the auto-locking hub into place and putting the snap ring on are pretty much the last things to do before putting your tools away. That's what makes it frustrating.

Yeah, the ZF maint can be a little git of a PITA. Are you going to fill through the shifter and get an extra quart in there? And yeah, bleeding brakes are NO fun. Hope it goes alright! I think I overlubed my slide pins on the drivers side, so now I get to take of the bracket again and redo them on Monday....good times.
I'll just use the transfer pump to fill it thru the top fill hole and after I have brakes Monday I'll see how it does driving a bit and recheck level. If it's cranky I'll go thru the extra hassle of the extra quart, but I bet it's just happy to have fresh synthetic after still having the original fluids in it for 92k, was still red when i checked it last time. Figure once I have brakes bled I might as well flush ps fluid (synthetic atf) while I have the day off
