George, Thank you for your detailed explanation. I checked out everything and had not quite reduced my pictures enough to post. They are now in my gallery. Thanks again, JimVA
George... let me add my thanks to Jim's. His pics have "cemented my resolve" , to quote my comments, on putting a two toned paint job on my truck in the dim and uncharted future. Not Jim's paint scheme, but one of my own design. While we are on the subject... grandson is going to spray a rhinoliner type material in the bed of his Jimmy. As the paint chips off my shiney (underneath the unprimed red paint) running boards, I am wondering if anyone has seen this application on said boards? Black rhino liner on running boards. Gimme some pros and cons, boys. Don't hold back.
I drive this thing everyday. I carry dirt and lumber and other things trucks are made to carry in the bed... this is not a show truck, this is a go truck.
Again, great looking ride, Jim. best. himmelberg
There is a red show truck I have seen a couple of times at the monthly Auburn Cruise night with the rhino coating on the running boards. The effect is great. It is a very cool contrast and it holds up. I say go for it!! John
Looking real good, I hope mine looks half as good some year. i really like the body coloured steallys with the chrome trim rings and plan on doing that. how did you get 275's to fit in the rear wheel wells? Does your HVAC hook up to the outside vent in the right fender because I would like fresh air HVAC and am trying to figure out how to do this.
George,
Some year I would like to post some pictures when I have something worthy of posting and this whole activity has me a little perplexed. Could you send me that same e-mail with instructions.

Pro's- They'll last forever.
Cons- I don't care for the look of rough boards. Might be OK for a driver. Just my opinion though. Screw your truck up however you see fit.
Jim
Your truck looks awesome. Looks lkike a great paint job. I see the bed bolts I sent you didn't workout though. Your bedwood flew out somewhere. Just send me a bill for the damages. What was it again? Two inch African walnut I suppose.
Folks; Thanks for the nice comments on my (project) even though the only things that are FORD are 1/2 the body,1/2 the chassis, and the brake booster. John,They are 265's with 3"wider fenders.and 3/4" clearance on the outside. I had to fill the loover vent on the right side because of a previous wreck and bullet hole. Fenders, I am waiting for the 3rd set of exaust tail pipes to be installed before installing(mahogany/white cedar) with no steel runners. 4 Speed,I know this is why some folks around here think it's sacrilegious what I have done with the truck, but I am on the road, and it's dependable. Thanks to all Jim VA.
