Hissing noise

I have that noise too
I do not have adaptive steering
I took it to a dealer and said that they couldnt find anything wrong
The guy tried their invetory and trucks did the same thing as mine
I guess it something we have to live with for having 1st year trucks
Its a really annoying sound

But that's the strange part, the pump is not making a noise outside my truck, i stood outside with my head against the fender listening while i had someone turn the wheel. It's only inside the cab right around the center of the wheel.
Does anyone have a diagram breaking down the parts for the steering wheel?

So I paid attention this morning to my steering wheel and tried to hear a hissing sound. Low and behold, there is one. I had to pay close attention but it was clearly the sound from the pump coming through the steering column. I could hear it when I was turning the wheel even ever so slightly as in just holding the wheel from returning to center. Taking the wheel to the end of rotation it was very pronounced as expected.
So my take is that this is somewhat related to the eyeball refresh rate issue Troverman is having. Apparently neither my ears or eyes are sensitive enough to pick up on these things without someone pointing them out. It is also probable that there will be variances between trucks with some being more prone to make the sound or flash for whatever reason and others not.
