First of all, Hi, I'm totally new here, and although I don't have a Ford Truck, I have a 1997 4.6L sohc Ford T-bird, and I'm in need of desperate help, and need someone near Knoxville/Oak Ridge, Tennessee to help me. (tccoa guys suggested asking here)....
I'm not a DIY expert, and I need to clean my MAF, and honestly, I'm not confident enough to try it myself...is there anyone from knoxville/Oak Ridge area who can help me do it? I'd be so thankful if any of you guys who' are good with this stuff can lend me a helping hand, or suggest how to find someone near my area.
Please, please let me know if anyone's interested in helping a fellow Ford owner.
It's really easy to do. It is located in the hose @ the air cleaner housing. Just spray some throttlebody or contact cleaner into the smaller hole in the meter (engine not running). Let it dry for a minute and put the housing back over the filter. Fire it up and you are ready to go.
