IOLM--no warning
I got my first oil change indicator yesterday at 7800 miles. I was surprised because at 7000 miles, it said I had 30% remaining oil life (by Forscan--its a 6.7). So I anticipated getting to about 10k. No big deal, but what surprised me most was it went straight to giving me an "oil change needed" message instead of a "change oil soon" indicator that I've heard of when people got to 10% life remaining. I checked the oil life remaining by Forscan and it reads 0.0%. This was really odd to me. I'm changing it Saturday so its not a big deal, but the way it popped up suddenly like that was a surprise. Is this similar to others experiences?

Mine was just like yours...no "change oil soon" message, just "oil change required." Mine came on probably around 7k miles or so. Course, I had already had the dealer change the oil at 5k miles and they just never bothered to reset the oil life.
