I'm also wanting to know about this. I was about to order them until I found out that their glued down and you have to reglue the new ones. I'm OK with doing that but I was worried if something leaked and wouldn't be cover because I change them with after market lights.
So far 3 dealers have turned me down because the moon roof "causes the lights to leak".
NO, the lights leak because you did a poor job of installing them.
Cost of the install on a non '17 is $450 -$600 based upon the 3 quotes I have got and then withdrawn...
I will be doing the install myself. My truck came with cab lights from the factory, I just don't care for the yellow. I would prefer smoked or clear of the recon lights. If you wanted to install them yourself there is a seller on eBay who sells the OEM lights, wiring, and even comes with a template.

I am thinking the way to go on a fresh install is non-oem lights. The reason for this is thw 'square hole' that Ford punches in the roof. It is my guess that Ford does this to insure alignment and that the Alum does not wallow as much.
Alum is soft and you might note when its attached to they generally use pop rivets. They do that to keep tension on the to work pieces and to provide more contact than the threads of the screws. The other mitigation is to have a fairly thick gasket that is adhesive on both sides so it attaches to the light and the cab.
I had a set of Recon lights installed in DFW. After market looks great, they don't leak. I just found out where the dealer was going to send the truck and took it myself, save about $300 from their cost. Out the door cost was about $400 installed. I took about 2 hours for them.

Do you have a moon roof, if so, NAME of the dealer that did the install...I will drive to Dallas to get it done...

if you have to start from scratch and cut the holes i would check into the lights from a new ram. im not really a fan of cab lights but theyre clear , fairly low profile and the best looking out there imo

These look to me like the old taller "bubble" style lights. Not the newest recon puts out. Can you confirm?
