MPG - 6.2 - Compare F250 to F350 (6R100 vs 6R140 Tranny)

I think driving conditions will play a bigger role than anything, but I will play.
2017 F350 4 x 4, CCSB. 3.73 Axles, 295/65/20 tires. 2.5 inch leveling kit. 10.2 MPG.
Driving conditions:
I rarely see the interstate. To and from work is under 10 miles and I never get on the highway. Lots of stop and go traffic. When I do get out on the highway, I see mid 13MPGs.

F250 cclb 4x4 6.2 4.30 with 2.5" leveling kit 285/75/18s (35×11.2 forscan corrected speedo) and true dual exaugst last weekend with a cab full of people and bed full of camping gear I got 13.5 mpg hand calculated with cruise set @ 74mph in southern MO. FWIW I rolled over 2500 miles on the odometer when I got home.

Ours is an F350 6.2 6R140 4x2 3.73 w/ small 275/65R16 A/S tires. Fuel is usually 87 AKI E10.
We live on the side of a 3K ft mountain in western NC. I typically see ~11 mpg while "runnin' around" locally, and the climbing the hill to get back home surely takes its toll. I've see as high as 18 during a long stretch out on the interstate.
Our one long interstate trip so far was 958 miles, and we scored 16.4 mpg (hand calc). This included our best single tank run of 503 miles, also at 16.4.
So far, there's but ~3,600 miles on the odometer... I think it can still do a bit better.

2017 F-350 CCLB 6.2L 20" wheels 3.73 gears
4950 miles on the truck.
14.0 mpg to and from work, 27 miles round trip, 2 lane roads.
12.0 mpg lifetime, includes 700 miles of towing a 7800 lb TT at 7.5 mpg.
15.2 best so far on the freeway 72 mph with cruise on.
The milage was really low at first, and has slowly but continuously improved.

f350 cc 4x4 3.73 11.7 city , 15 highway 3200 miles on it. I had a f250 same configuration for 3 weeks traded it back in as soon as the recall came out , I did not want a superduty with a f150 transmission in it. I work for a ford dealer and the 6r100 is a 6r80 with beefed up gears. at the end of the day it is no 6r140 and is not nearly the size or bullet proof that the 6r140 is

The 6r100 was engineered for the 6.2 so it is tuned specifically for the gas engine. How well they are going to hold up is to be determined. One of the problems with the 6r140 is the potential loss of power to the rear wheels. This thing is heavy duty so I'm certain it robs a little power from the 6.2. I would love to see dyno results from a 2017 f250 compared to the 2017 f350.
The only comparison I have is from a 2016 f 250 6.2/3.73 4x4 vs 2017 f250 6.2/3.73 4x4 and I much prefer the transmission in my 2017, it will blow the doors of the 2016.

well i also owned a 2014 f250 4x4 supercab with 40 k on it when i got the 2017 f250 6.2 4x4 cc. the lead diesel tech bought my 2014 6.2, we raced them and it did not blow the doors off actually he beat the 2017 f250 on a flat out run from light to light so after it was recalled i traded it back in for a 350

i have worked for a ford dealer for 20 years i know the ins and out the 6r100 is a 6r80 case with lower gears it was done to try to save fuel mileage for people who are between the 150 250 platform and if you love it that's all that matters but for me i don't want a mustang transmission in my superduty i want the most for my money and that's the 350
