P303 - Fuel injector?
now...I know I have an exhaust leak that seals after the engine warms up.
Already picked up plugs and COPS....I know on my 1998 expy I had to do the fuel injectors also. Is the newer engine (2006) less prone to misfire from fuel versus spark?
it's hot - I haven't had a chance to swap in new COP or plug....just wondering off the top of my head if I need a new injector also.
Can you feel a misfire at idle?
Have you looked at the raw OBD II data to be sure only #3 is misfiring?
You could try changing the COP with #4 to see if the problem moves.
The coils and injectors need to be changed a lot less often than plugs or boots.
The most likely causes of a misfire are moisture down in the plug well or the boot is degraded.
I've changed plugs/boots 3 times with 170k on our 2003, still have the original coils/injetors and have had no more misfires since I got water into a couple of plug wells.
I have new COPS - and new Plugs - I'll just soak it and swap the plug and coil. No idea if they've ever been done by previous owner.
Also have a random IEW solenoid code....so hopefully I'll get around to swapping that this weekend too.
