Sounds like an injector went south. Does the smell in the exhaust burn your nose. May need to do a bubble test.

This happened on a 2006 F350 we worked on.

He brought it in thinking it had bad compression, after pulling codes #7 showed as bad. After replacing the offending injector, up pipes, and rebuilding the turbo, he was back on the road without issue.

Check for codes and see what comes up

I am thinking the same. I will smell it in the morning I drove about 20 miles tonight and it only smokes at one stop sign

I believe so. You really need an uncompensated graph to see how they are performing.

Any codes?

Maybe a member near you has IDS? Post in the state chapter forum and ask.

Still #8 looked a but busy.
The only real telling test is an uncompensated test.

$80 for an IDS plug in and a look see at the dealer is not bad at all.

a little update took the truck to the ford dealer last Friday told them the story and he said it couldn't be an injector he has never seen one do what mine was doing. So went home that night and changed the oil looked up at drivers side exhaust manifold and found that #8 was dripping fuel out of it. call my dealer to have them warranty the injector put it in Wednesday night and haven't had a problem yet. thanks for all the help guys.
