Drivers seat damage

Is anyone else getting this damage? I just noticed it today but its obvious I've been hitting this corner when entering the truck. My left heal hits it. Guess I'll have to be more careful lol

I'm getting it on the pocket on the door panel, particularly because I can't open my door all the way in my garage. I need to do the same - be more careful.

Try some of the stick on black pipe insulation.

Every truck I have owned has had scuff marks in that area. I think having to have the seat further back to drive comfortably exposes this area to your feet more when getting in.

its not a huge deal but these trucks are so high its practically at eye level when you open the door. Very obvious on the black plastic as well.

It's not really damage. It wipes off with plastic or leather cleaner.

my truck is getting those marks really bad. I dunno if its normal or not but my power seat goes extremely far back for exit, not back a couple inches like I became accustomed to in the F150, which is why I think I'm kicking the plastic a lot more often than I have in my other trucks

Mine has the same thing. Luckily it wipes off with some cleaner as mentioned before. My stance is it's a truck, I use it as a truck and stuffs and scratches are going to happen. You should see my factory spray on bedliner, it's already all scratched up and parts of it has even scratched off.

As a landlord, I constantly need to access what is damage, and what is "normal wear and tear".

Although this is a truck, not a rental, I would say your damage is really wear and tear.

Nothing will look like new forever, not even a $75K truck...

Very normal wear and tear. Did the same think on my previous Super Duty and on my Tundra before that.
If you want to protect it, one idea is to get some clear duct tape and put over that seat bracket cover.

Some would consider that normal wear.

You and me both Mooch. My left foot rakes that pocket too. Maybe if I didn't have size 13 shoes and my left arm could extend longer to ope the door further....
