my next oil change im going to switch to Rotella synthetic.Iwas wondering which oil filter would be the best.Does my 2002 powerstroke have synthetic in the automatic tranny.is the motorcraft filter good?

A lot of guys have stuck with the original Motorcraft oil filter, and have run a ton of miles. I'm sure it's a good filter. Personally, I've had a lot of luck over the years with Purolator oil filters, and since they're available at Sears for $2.99, that's what I use.

I think purolater makes motorcraft oil flters.These trucks are so darn expensive i just want to take the best care of it.

Order them by the case from the heavy truck distributer Parts counter. They are usually pretty good about price.

You can ger the fuel filters by the case too. They come in a box of 12 in plastic bags with new o-oring. No labeling or advertising so you save some bucks.
