Looking for some experienced members to provide some tips on removing the dash trim from a dentside.
I bought a another truck last year, a 78 F100 that has a damaged trim panel due to the previous owner's radio swap. I found a replacement from a 75 that's being parted out.
Any tips and tricks on removing it without damaging the clips? I've never done this before and don't want to ruin it by breaking it off.
Coupla hundred threads on this. Remove the headlight switch **** and the wipers ****, unscrew the nuts holding the radio shafts and wiper control in place. Unscrew the screws along the top edge of the trim (think there are 5?) and by the headlight ****. Tilt the trim toward you (there is a bottom tab) and pop the lightbulb holder by the lights/wiper switches off its tab. You may have to jiggle the bezel a bit to clear the heater/AC ***** depending on whether you have factory air. Probably a 5 minute job.
