Just looking for a time estimate to set up an E2 8000lb Trunion hitch. It looks extremely similar to the Equal-i-zer hitch design. I downloaded the manual, which says it should take a little less than an hour. I'm not trying to rush it, just trying to verify so I can budget the correct amount of time. It will be the tape-measure method because I don't have a set of scales very close by.
I'm setting up on a 2017 F-150 w/max tow to haul a 26' Salem Cruise Lite. Dry weight (which I know is low from what I have learned on here) is about 4500lbs. I'm guessing it will load out around 6k or 6500, but I still believe this is well within the limits of the truck (rated a 11,200 towing and 1200lb TW with WDH). I'm renting the camper from a friend of ours who does not use a WDH, but that makes me anxious so I was able to borrow a hitch from another friend of mine. I cannot get a the camper early, so I will have one evening after work to pick up the camper, pack all our stuff inside, and set up the hitch, then we leave in the morning, hence trying to budget the right amount of time.
