351Cleveland C4 i got in the mail today the latest copy of the NPD catalog.on pages 134-135. they have listed every gear ratio for both the front axle and the rear axle. starting with the year 1948 and ending with 1979. it shows how to read the door tag for what ratio you have. their book says that the ratio in my truck is 3.70. so it looks like i am going to need to run the 285,s on the rear of my truck when i swap in the 302/c4. thanks for all the help everybody has been with this.

Good deal! Big tires look sweet. Have you thought about the front anymore?

right now the fronts will most likely be 225/70 r 15. what brand will they be.? not really sure about that. but most likely be B.F. Goodrich. so hopefully the tread pattern will match.

Agreed. I like the wheels and the grille. Makes me rethink what I will do.

I have the same wheels but need polishing. Did you polish or are they new? Also the grille looks awesome

Thanks guys !

I polished the grill and wheels my self , there's a thread on here covering the process . It use to have pictures (thanks Photo bucket) if you got the $$ pay to have polishing done it is a very hard and dirty job .
