Looking for the code key #
I just purchased a 1999 Explorer XLT.
I am trying to program the door key pad.
I am to look for a code key # in the glove compartment, and on the anti theft system control modugal, stated in the owner's manual, under the hood.
It is not in the glove compartment, and I don't know where to look for the modugal under the hood.
If you have any idea where to look, please advise me.

If you go to a Ford dealership (if ya cant locate prev. owner etc...)they can find out.........I couldn't find it anywhere on mine either and I contacted the prev. owner and they forgot it. It $#@^% you have to have that to change the # etc....

Looking for the code key #
On my 97 Explorer the number is on an electronics box located near the jack in the back. Remove the cover for the jack and look behind the plastic wall (pull the wall out a little and shine a flashlight in there) toward the front of the truck. It is printed in large numbers on a white sticker.
