the right ZF5?

I am putting a ZF5 Trans in my 89 Bronco with a 302. I'm looking for a ZF5 from a 88-91 f250 or f350 with a 351 or 300. Anyone know if having a 4x4 is necessary. A local junk yard has one I think might work. It is model s 5-42 ZF Parts List No 1307 050 051 Trans serial number #8195632. It is not from a 4x4, what is the difference in the trans regarding 4x4 or not?

The cases are different, the 4wd trans is designed to have a transfer case bolted to the back of it while the 2wd version is not and cannot be converted so you can't use a 4wd trans in a 2wd truck or vise versa.

BUT!!! In a full size Bronco, you may have room to run the 2wd ZF with a divorced NP205 tcase. Of course this is a much bigger project and will require custom driveshafts.

I'm looking for ZF too. This chart helped me identify which part numbers would work:
