Bed Cleats
Do you just beat these into place or what? I don't want to break them but without some kind of force they wont go or so it seems.

Do you have a spray in bed liner that is causing the problem? I had to work on each one a little bit and the fit is tight, but they pretty much went right in...

I used a small thin file to get rid of the excess plastic burrs and that did the trick.

I have the liner but it doesn't seem to bother anything. I see that little seam on the cleat that's in between the gap, is that the part that you filed off?

I lightly filed all the groves and slots that slide into the bed mounted cleat. Their was some plastic mold forming burs at least on mine, and that worked. Key must be in cleat when mounting and maybe a little oil lube might help to slide jn place. Good luck

For anyone still struggling with these..I didn't realize why they went in so hard, until I figured this out:
Bend it, slide it in from the bottom, release it and lock it in place.

They must have redesigned these maybe as a job 2... they are now hinged and slide in pretty easily:

I ordered the Lariat only, as the supercab can't be ordered with the ultimate package, so not sure if it comes with the cleats

Job 2 also changed the holes in the cleats (where you could hook a tie down to) from vertical to horizontal.
