I need ideas/help/suggestions/miracle. So I am trying to get my front signal lights to work on my 77/79 hybrid(77 grill on a 79 truck). To give you the run down I have: replaced a bad turn signal switch and have traced power to the turn signal sockets.(Done this to both sides)
I have 12 volts going into the sockets while grounding straight to neg. battery terminal. What I don't have is any voltage coming out on what should be the ground wire(black wire) from the socket. New bulbs so I am thinking the sockets could be bad, but wondering if there is anything I am overlooking? Don't want to replace a part that is still good you know.
unless the pissing contest between Dorman and the parts stores has intensified, dual filament bulb replacement sockets for turn signals are around $7. Easier to replace the whole socket. I've had a couple that looked good but the connection between the socket ground and the ground wire from the socket was bad.
