just around 2500 miles and I already have a cracked windshield.

Your doing pretty good then, mine took its first stone chip high up on passenger side at 880 miles. Talk about pissed.

Me too, I was following a belly dump about 800 feet back on I-10 and a rock came out of nowhere, scare the $#!% out of me. Spider crack about 2-3 inches across by passenger A-pillar. Pissed beyond belief.

Nothing got my windshield yet, but someone was nice enough to nose into my pickup in a parking lot and dent my bumper in. Nothing that $700 isn't going to fix! Grrr....

Depending on what State you're in, your Insurance Company might fix it for free.

My previous vehicle, 2012 F-150 FX4. Was on the way home from dealer 8 miles away. Was 3 miles from home and got a windshield chip.

yeah, no kidding. I guess it happens but I was hoping a little farther down the road. I'm hoping my insurance will cover it, because its hard telling what it will cost.
