I have a 2011 f250 6.2l. I recently had some transmission work done and on my invoice the mechanic charged me for 17L of fluid. However my manual says it's requires 18.5L and now I'm pulling a PO734 code. Is there some reason he only put 17L of fluid or is my mechanic an idiot and im low on fluid? I checked the fluid level and it appears to be high.. I checked it according to the manual and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or what's going on.
call your trans shop and have then send a tow truck. do not drive it.
google the code. not a low or high level one.
you left out why you needed trans work.
if the plates had to be changed...there could be debris left over in the system from the old plates. need to know why it was in the shop. code is internal blockage.

I had the transmission replaced with a used one with less miles. Could just be I swapped out for an equalled messed up transmission but the fluid thing has me wondering if thats the cause before i call in the warranty and replace yet another transmission. The old transmission was having a g3 incorrect ratio with transmission slipping. It was shifting very hard. With this one its shifting through all gears without sounding like it's having any difficulty. The engine is revving.. more like bouncing up and down than revving up high. Like it was on the older transmission.
so the code means a blockage. either way.....get your mechanic involved.
me would not put a used tranny in place of a used tranny.
too many variables that could lead to you taking over some one elses problems.
where is your old one going.....yep...to the next person that needs a used tranny
do you think they are going to crack it open and replace all the soft parts....????
any way...its good to post the cuase when asking about the effect....not knowing any better...folks who assumed no cuase happend...will start down the wrong trouble shooting chart.
the torque converter is another variable....did you keep your old one or get the used one.
