Lost in translation

Ok kids. This is July 29th 2017.
. I'm looking for anyone with information on the 1995 Jaguar XJS FRONT & REAR SUSPENSION in a 1973 Ford F100. The front end seems pretty easy. I'm about half way through this swap. I'm really curious if anyone has done the newer 1995 out board brake IRS in an older 1973 Ford F100 Truck.
ok. I got scolded for asking questions in a 13 year old account that covered even older trucks 1959 thru 1966. I think was what years it was.
. I'm just going to sit over here in the corner & wait.
I really hope some of you can give me some advice. Maybe some pictures?
just talk to me please

.
. I've read that complete article several times. It's kind of my go to article when I have questions. The only problem with it is. It's an older than 1973 F100. All his measurements are different than mine. My frame is wider.
I'm in need of a measurement. If you look at the bottom of the front of your frame. There are 2 little nipple or pin type of things sticking down out of the frame. I would like someone out there to measure from the front of those pins back to the center of the wheel.
. Not the center of the wheel well but the center line of the front spindles. I think it's close to 14.5 inches. I'm setting my be IFS an inch or inch & half forward to center my new tires in my front fender wells when I lower it. This article says to do this.
. Strange enough. I had all of my measurements on my frame. One of my workers thought he would help me out & painted the front of the frame. Covering up my center lines. Which I'm pretty sure are either 14 or 14.5 inches off of these pins??
Thanks anyone who can help me out

Hello,

Sorry I can't help with your measurements. Do you have some pics of what you've done so far with the IRS and IFS? I've just bought a 94 3.2 litre that I'm planning to use the complete drivetrain, steering and suspension into a 77 F250 suoercab. Some pics from your install would help me. Thanks. Richie

I recently sold a 79 jaguar xj6. To a guy that is going too do this same swap. I'll try to get in touch with him and see how far he is and if he has any pics and measurement information. I'll post if I have any luck.

. It means more than likely you are younger than I am. If you were born in the mid 40's to early 50's. Then you are......
. It's just a saying. Nothing derogatory towards anyone.

. Thanks Flowney.
. Ive read all of those forums already. If you have any questions about any of those post. There is no one to ask. A lot of those people on the forum say that my 73 F100 Truck is way to different to ask question on a 9 or 10 year old post. They won't answer any of my questions.
. Ive taken my complete i-beam suspension out already. Now I'm working on my cross member & motor mounts. Then I'll get my XJS IFS front end in. Then I'm off to do my IRS for from the jaguar.
I'm also going to airbag so 4 corners

Having been born in 1958 I am 58 (for a little while anyways). No offense taken here, I just thought I missed something.

It's great on this site with all of the experience the members have. They have helped me many times.

So you'll be charting most of your own course. As I have a '77 XJ6 sitting o/s my shop, I will be keenly following your build should you choose to document it here. Moreover, I'll bet that I'm not the only one. Please be sure to post lots of pictures. That will not only help us who are following along, it may also benefit you as well. I frequently find myself referring to images I took a year or so ago even if I'm on the road somewhere with only a library computer to rely upon.
