I don't know about the earlier ('48 I think) F6, but my dad put ladders on the bed beside the cab on the '58. Some of the guys he hired for haying wanted to slide off the top of the cab on to the hood..... Common "not my truck" conduct.

Yes I've done bodywork for years on all my projects. Shouldn't be a problem considering it's not that bad. A little hammer and dolly and some welding. Be good as new. Yes the one with the handle is my E brake. There is a flat handle next to it for up and down and a short handle right under the drivers side to engage the pto.

That's different. I've never seen a PTO switch by the driver's seat.
Thanks!

Nice work. Is that spray foam behind the kick panel area? I noticed it on the right side too.

Thank you. Yes it is spray foam. The previous owner sprayed it everywhere! I plan on ripping it all out after I fix all the rust and dyna matting the entire inside.

Welcome to FTE! and "hooray" another big truck (picture my two year old son throwing his hands in the air). We like big trucks here! If you need specific parts it's best to list what you need exactly. We'll find you what you need. Do you have a genuine Ford service manual as well as a parts manual? They're invaluable. Available for download here: Ford Shop Manuals and Parts Catalog Downloads

And again, WELCOME!

Yes I cut the bubble out for the dimmer switch. I'm going to relocate it anyway.
