Getting ready to pull the engine out of the project Cummins, whats a 156K perfect running V10 worth including starter alternator, complete, harness etc., except fan and clutch?
Also the 4R100 with converter, but no transfer case?
I got a very very good V10 with excellent leak down results with 119,000 miles on it for $800. With core turn in. $1000 if I did not give them my old busted block.
But I would have paid more because I like non-remaned motors.
If I needed a V10 and the one for sale had good leak down tests I would probably go as high as $1500. As long as it did not have evidence of oil usage.
I did have to replace all 20 exhaust studs and put new cops in it, so if yours are all good that's a plus. I would price it at $1500.
In my opinion used motors are in less demand now. People go reman for warrenty reasons but I dont. When one of my other motors goes coput I will probably just spring for a new 2009 thru 2014 2V V10 from ford. They are getting cheaper.... $4800 for a brand new long block.

On this, there is no core of course and it does not leak anything, oil or otherwise. Does not use oil either. Did some upgrades to the fuel system, FPR, IAT, IIC, fluids etc.
Just checked on EB, and they seem to range 2K to 4K, dunno though
In the end it all boils down to the buyer. If they are close to you and in need of a motor than a higher price is sometimes worth it to them.
I am always on the look out for a replacement motor. One of my excursions has 233K on clock and I know I will need one soon.
I seen this 2016 2V V10 complete engine with only 39,000 on clock for $3500. A clean rust free motor that shold have a easy 200,000 miles left on it. Plus sensors and injectors and stuff is only a year old.
Will I pay $3500 for it....not right now but I would jump on it if I needed a motor.
