E4OD Swap
Could use a little advice, please.
I need to pull my transmission (97 F350 Power Stroke 4x4 Crew Cab) and put a rebuilt one back in. I need a manual that will cover the procedures to do this and have enough detail to put it back in and have all the torque settings, etc. I'm not rebuilding the tranny (E4OD), just swapping.
I was wondering if the Chilton manual entitled "Ford Pick-ups/ Expedition/Navigator 1997-00 repair manual" will give me enough detail to do this. I don't want to buy it if it won't cover the basics on this.
Also, if that book isn't the right one, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

The question is: What is the exact manual that I should order so that I can remove a transmission and replace it with another one exactly like it in the following vehicle--1997 Ford F350 Power Stroke 4x4 Crewcab?
I went through 128 Haynes manuals in the amazon.com web site and can't find one that is for the above model.
Do I use a "transmission" manual? If so, which one? There is one in there but a picture of the front cover does not list the E4OD.
Do I use a "pickup" manual? If so, which one?
All I want to know is what book to either order on the internet or buy from the autoparts store.

These CDs are really good, I have one for my 93 F250.
It has all the info that you where wanting and a whole lot more.
I looked for a Haynes book for your truck but I couldn't find one, oh well hope this helps.
