You can also add a radiator cap that has a sacrificial anode to help prevent it as well.
I looked into the grounding, it actually in theory promotes electrolysis because besides the coolant, the core is isolated from metal. Ford had a tsb saying to do it, then had one superceding it saying not to. If this one goes it's getting a coolant flush, and a more thorough examination. Seems to be doing just fine so far.

Water no good use distilled water

When I flush or replace don't use household water way too many contaminants. Use distilled water if mixing your own 50/50 mix. I suggest a coolant filter if you have the money.

The ford heater core kkjust barely made it into November. This one has some noticeable pitting around the fittings, I am 100% it is electrolysis, for right now, I bypassed the core, gonna drain it and refill with some fresh green coolant, distilled water and VC-8 additive. cleaned all the underhood grounds I could find, added a 4 gauge ground cable to the engine to frame connection and plan on adding some to the body to frame connection. Thinking of going with a ford Bronze heater core so it is a similar metal to the radiator, any input?
