I have a 99 v10 got some weird things going on I can't seem to figure out. If I am stopped have my a.c. or my headlights on when I go to take off the truck spits sputters running real rich almost sounding like its gonna die takes a min to get it to 5 to 10 mph after that its fine and it goes on. If I shut my a.c. off or headlights off it won't do it. It also sometimes with the headlights or a.c. on when I put it in drive it wants to take off in 2nd gear it doesn't always put itself in 1st gear. Can someone help here. In last 3 months its had a new egr iac maf fuel pump new plugs and coils throttle body o2 sensors
Clean all your ground connections. ALL.
In fact, start at battery and clean all electrical connections.
Don't forget the ground strap on the starter and the one behind the intake.
I'm thinking you should follow Sam's instructions instead of trying to think about things you don't understand. You have an intermittent ground circuit problem.
Well when the battery is leaking acid that tends to show its bad and then when they alternator is putting out 12.2 volts at idle with nothing on then when headlights and a.c. is on it drops to 10.8 to 11 and never gets any higher than that shows me a problem right there
Just put a new alternator in and a new battery sitting there at 14.2 volts at idle with a.c. and head lights on. And it has not done what it was doing before

If you KNEW all of that was an issue, you SHOULD HAVE STATED IT UP FRONT instead of launching a wild goose chase with vague and ambiguous information.
Didn't know it was an issue til it left me sitting yesterday with a dead battery in a field. Been so busy with work haven't had time to look at it was planning on looking at it today. Wasn't sending anybody on a wild goose chase. I had a legitimate problem that I wasn't sure what was wrong and I wasn't vague on anything I said. I stated what the problem was. I also did exactly what Sam said to do after I put the battery and alternator in. My volt gauge has always read normal so I had no inclination that it woulda been a problem. Obviously now i know it doesn't properly work
