Universal Joints and Transmission Splines

Universal Joints and Transmission Splines
Evening everyone.
I dropped my driveshaft today to get at a bad universal joint. The back one had a cap that had no rollers, so that explains my vibration at higher speeds.
It also seems the harmonic damper had been glued on with some silicone, so that just got removed.
Two questions as I button it back up.
1. The joints feel tight in one direction. Not sure I'd they will loosen up, and it's not really terrible, but the two sides are different. So that makes me think something is askew.
2. Do I lube the splines of the transmission yoke with anything? Or just leave it as it is?
Thanks in advance!
