1961/64 F100/250 2WD & F350: The steering shaft goes directly into the gearbox.
In order to remove the steering column, the Pitman Arm is disconnected from the sector shaft, then the column and gearbox is removed as a one piece assembly.
Beginning 1965 F100/250 2WD: The steering shaft has a flange made as part of it.
Since your truck has a Crown Victoria front suspension, the original 1961/64 gearbox cannot be used.
A steering coupler (rag joint) bolts to the flange, then slides onto the splines of the steering gear input shaft where it's retained by a pinch bolt.

NumberDummy got rid of the gearbox they ruined it when the cut it and matched and welded on it have the dd rod and all the joints needed to hook it up but I have a hole in the fire wall and need to mount my columm to the fire wall to it will work and not be a safety issue.. thanks mike

OK.....
So you have the Crown Victoria suspension. This suspension uses a rack and pinion. This system requires some custom fabrication to connect the steering wheel/column to the rack and pinion. This requires the use of steering u-joints.
You should be able to use the 65 up column with the rag joint and steering u-joints to mate to the rack and pinion.. It should bolt to the dash as they all do. The firewall will be a custom fix by you. Also a custom fix by you is the steering connections from the rag joint to the rack and pinion.
You'll just have to figure it out. You may need to adjust the angle of the column....maybe shorten it.......lots of things to consider with a custom install like this.
