Mountaineer Suspension?
I just got a 2000 Mountaineer v8 AWD with the leveling suspension.It is normal for the "CHECK SUSP" light to come on when the switch is turned off in the back.When the switch is on all is good.

Mountaineer Suspension?
The suspension automatically adjust for load, based on sensors. If switched of, the check suspension light will continuously come on. Generally, you'd switch of the suspension to either test for leaks or while lifting/jacking up the vehicle.
