I'm doing an egr delete and blue spring right now. What else should I do while it's opened up other than hg and studs (that's for another time when I replace the oil cooler as for now the oil cooler is fine). Do I need to do the turbo oil line and drain tube or do I need to since it's an 07?
I ordered an IPR air test adapter and plan on air testing my rails before doing anything. I'll still replace DPs and SPs regardless but that'll let me see if I need top seals or some other items. STC will come when the delete & oil cooler is ready.
If you're doing blue spring I would put an adapter/hose in the fuel filter housing test port to accept a pressure sender in the future.
The new fitting is one piece the STC fitting is two pieces. You will need an oring for the top of the pump and the cover and some TA-31 sealant for the rear of the cover where the block and rear cover meet. Use anything besides the TA-31 sealant and your asking for a leak. It is pricey for two little dabs but worth no leaks.
Thanks for the info. I'll definitely be looking into this. And psi test adapter what about the turbo oil line and drain tube? I've looked up the new updated one and for what I can tell it looks like the one I got.
I recall my research determining we could benefit from the updated drain but the supply was of not much value. I think earlier years' supply lines had a braided section which may have been a weak link?
