Any suggestions on places to purchase a gas tank? I'm looking for the front (side) gas tank for my 94 F-150. I've looked at JC Whitney - 145 bucks - is there quality on something like this any good?

 

Have you checked out the parts stores like AutoZone or advance America? I think they are about $100.
I think they carry them.

 

I don't know about a 94 F150. I once found a tank for a '79 F100 at a local auto parts store...not a chain. It was about $100 if I recall correctly and I could inspect it before installing it. You might want to call around some local mom-and-pop stores to see if they have it. Prices seem to vary quite a bit, but I found one that offered a better tank at a lower price than JCW.

 

Oh, BTW, the suggestion about Autozone is a good one. Try autozone.com. They will quote the price and tell you which stores have them in stock.
