I actually think the dual tips look cheesy.. I'm def. going with an aftermarket single 5 inch tail pipe/tip

I agree with this. I will be going this route as well. I'd prefer a 5" system without a tip, but haven't found one yet.

Do you have the chrome tip exhaust? I saw you where in Katy, I am in Katy as well so if you take yours off let me know I will take it from you.

Hey, if you like duals you can go that route. The stock exhaust, while better than that fugly Duramax Megaphone catastrophe, or the plain Cummins, its still stock and there's literally millions of trucks out there with the exact same thing.

I wonder how much the tone changes with just getting rid of that rear resonator in the tail pipe.

No, my KR doesn't have the chrome package, thus it has the regular tip.

zero sound difference unless you get rid of the DPF. Buyim g a resonator back exhaust replacement is for pure looks.

Bummer, I'm not down on blowing money on purely looks. Everything I'm adding to the truck better do something or it's a waste to me.

Thank you.

Finally got around to installing the MBRP filter back exhaust. No sound increase, but I love the difference in the look. I went with the 5" aluminized installer series, so it was only $270 shipped on ebay. You can run the exhaust with or without the tip. I decided I liked the little bit of chrome that the 6" tip provided.
