Thanks. Now that I've got the numbers I'll be able to come up with a couple I'm sure

After checking some of the cross referencing not all the ones listed will be suitable
So you will have to look closely at them some listed are single lip seals not suitable for an axle seal like National 416297 .

That interchange are just ones with the same ID and OD some are flat faced like Victor/NAPA 64561 and others are off set like Victor SS64564

You may have to pull a seal to match it up with the correct style.

I could not get the timken number ND supplied to match up to any thing. But there is a A1205G735 number that Meritor and Rockwell uses that crosses over, maybe a typo in the book ?

I would just get the stemco one and you should be safe.

Original leather type seals

National 5751 At least according to the pic on the O Reily's web site double check that it is.

Modern Rubber type seals

Stemco 392-9038

National 370046A

Victor/NAPA 64561

Did you ever find the correct rear axle seal? I have the same problem. Used National 416297 seal. It fits but leaks. emailed Timken and they recommended National 455858. too big. Not 3.125 shaft size. Now they say National 370046A as an alternate. It looks like it might have more than one seal lip. Did you get it figured out?

If there's more than one brake size (there isn't on yours), then one needs the weight capacity of the rear axle.

B6J-1175-A .. Axle Seal / Timken part #: A-1205-G-736 / Obsolete

Applications that apply: 1957/60 F500 with 15" x 4.00" rear brakes.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 1 = 800-543-4959.

COURTESY AUTO & TRUCK in Thorpe WI has 2 = 715-669-5519.

FREESE MOTORS in Monticello IA has 7 = 319-465-3541.

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has 7 = 607-722-5371.

NOS PARTS LTD in Waxahachie TX has 10 = 972-937-2201.

FYI: Two single speed rear axles were available for 1957/60 F500's: Timken C100 (11,000 lbs. capacity) & Timken D100 (13,000 lbs. capacity).

1957/60: AXLE code 22 decodes to 6.20-1 and that's it! I had to look in the application charts for F500 rear axle availability with 6.20-1 (listed above).

The original axle in my f350 dump truck has the "T" Timken logo but data plate says manufactured by Rockwell. Maybe why the confusion I got stuck in the sand and scrambled my gears. I found an old parts breakdown for mine but all internal parts were obsolete. Seals should be available. Match up size and design.
