Confused, Rough running engine

I have a 77 F-150 300 4spd The engine misses at Idle runs rough up to about 40mph (I have no tach for rpm) light throttle or heavy throttle. I bought a rebuild from Pony Carburetors. I did a tune-up plug wires cap rotor It basically stayed the same. I do have a calabraided disy from performance distributer coming. Could this be something simply or something worse? If you could help ,the hair may stay on my head

update after buying a carb and disy all it was a 15 dollar intake gasket, two of the ports had half the gaskets gone. runs like it was brand new.

I was so happy that my truck runs so good I gave it a good cleaning

Performance Distributor does a very good job with there product's.
off topic
I'm so done with Napa on there rebuild products, I'll pay the extra to do it once.
