fender modifications

Has anyone tried making their own rear fenders wider or other fenders I guess. I am looking to talk to someone that has, thinking of making my own 3" wider rear fenders from the ones I have. Looking for tips, tricks and things you learned.
Thanks

Do a web search on Mike Crimaldi's '53 F-100 that was done at The Roadster Shop in the Chicago area. They did some extensive metal work on this truck and there was a lot of magazine coverage of the build so there are many photos of the work in progress.

Check out this episode of Trucks. I think this should give you a good feel for what's involved. https://www.powernationtv.com/episod...ider-is-better

One of the recent COE build threads has a step by step of his version of widening and looked like it turned out well .

Stretching a fender and widening one are two entirely different procedures. It sounds like you want to widen yours so you might to change the title of your post for more ideas. Jrockdiddy widened his in a way others told him it couldn't be done and it don't look bad, look him up on here.

We used pie shaped wedges to widen the rears, these are the best pics I have. Worked out well.

Pretty crazy. Rusted56 sent me some pictures of his console build via PM. Got them saw them. The next day I went to copy them and they looked like above.

It was working for me until just the other day, when I lost the ones I sent BJ. Try these:

I can't seem to post actual pictures for some reason, and never could find that mountain icon....

You know (maybe you have to be a member) that you can post now directly off of your computer. No longer need a third party host like before. I'm assuming this will prevent your old post pictures from vanishing like when Photobucket went dark on us.

I've got a couple of pics. of the long pie-cut method. I think they only cut the top and back, and just past the curve on the front side. not my pics.
